The Council is expected to open a new docket to evaluate ways to increase the availability of distributed energy resources and create a vendor-neutral distributed battery and microgrid program (consent agenda item 24). Learn more about this docket from our previous blog here.
The Council will also vote on a resolution, R-24-625, which would approve a $100M investment for Entergy New Orleans to upgrade and harden power poles (consent agenda item 25).
Both these items were approved by the Council’s Climate Change and Sustainability Committee on October 9, and are now before the full Council for a final vote.
When submitting a comment online, select “consent agenda” when asked which item you’d like to comment on.
