Thomas Lowenburg is a co-founder and the former Research Director of the Alliance. He is the owner of “Octavia Books,” a successful independent bookstore in uptown New Orleans. He has served on the Board since 1985. He also currently serves on the boards of the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance and the New Orleans Gulf South Booksellers Association.
