LAGC business partnerships
What it provides: The Louisiana Green Corps Business Partnership creates a formal collaboration between the Louisiana Green Corps (LAGC) and a green industry professional or organization within the LAGC Network.
When to use it: A green industry professional may choose to become a LAGC business partner for many different reasons. The top reasons are:
- To increase capacity by utilizing the LAGC Corpmembers as a temporary and/or permanant means of meeting the evolving (and manytimes unpredictable) demands that the emerging green industry places on small business owners.
- To recruit, screen and train employees
- The two types of business partnerships are:
Global agreement
A global agreement is a general agreement that sets the tone for collaboration with an industry professional and that professional's affiliates, including partners, subcontractors, and clients. Typically, the parameters of LAGC's relationship with the global business partner's affiliate agencies will be articulated in a separate global or project-based agreement.
Project-based agreements
A project-based agreement is typically used to form a collaboration between the LAGC and a green industry professional on a project that is unique to a specific site or contract. LAGC may have more than one project-based agreement with a green industry professional, whereas there will likely be more than one global agreement with any single entity.
What businesses qualify: Any green business or business employing green industry professionals may enter into a business partnership with the LAGC.
The LA Green Corps program is a collaboration of a network of organizations including the Corps Network, Americorps, ARC of Greater New Orleans, Old City Building Center, Job 1 and Louisiana Workforce Commission, Department of Labor.
