December 9, 2009 – deadline for candidates to qualify
February 6, 2010 – primary election
March 6, 2010 – general election
Louisiana Public Service Commission District 3 (and other federal and state legislative races)
July 7, 2010 - deadline for candidates to qualify
August 28, 2010 - primary election
October 2, 2010 - primary runoff
November 2, 2010 - general election
